Supporting Colorado State University

REFLECTIONS OF THE GAME

09.08.09

· RECEPTION AT JACK AND GINGER GRAHAMS FOR ATHLETICS – UNBELIEVABLY BEAUTIFUL HOME AND GRACIOUS HOSTS.  Jack, Paul K. and Tony talked about all the progress made by the athletic program and the financial support that will take us to the premier level  in national athletics. Jack spoke very inspiringly about why he supports athletics and encourages others to follow his lead.

· Chancellor’s reception – historic moment when leaders of both CSU and CU talked about the partnership and friendship between the 2 universities (except of course during the game).  Instead of trying to  set ourselves apart… these leaders understand the power of collaboration that benefits Coloradoans, the nation and the world

· The game – Amazing!!!  All pre-game predictions had CSU losing… many in a big way.    Everyone was filled with overflowing emotion watching the team play an unbelievable game… especially going down the field on CSU’s  first position for a touchdown… and over and over again, throwing and running like champions.  And the second half …heartstoping moments when CU got it’s game on track, but CSU did not heart was the biggest and game the best.

· The most special moment… after the game on the field  with students and the band.    – President Frank,  Chancellor Blake and Doug Jones, Board members and past Chairs – cheering, hugging and high-fiving with Band Director Dr. J. Steven Moore, Steve Fairchild, ,the students and band members.    The most proud moment – watching  CSU band members clap for the CU band as they marched out of the stadium.

I’m proud to be a CSU Ram!
